You are such a great daddy to our three boys, you do a lot with them, you teach them a lot and you spend a lot of time with them. Thanks for always helping with homework.
We had a fun father's day weekend. We spent the weekend in Grand Forks. Paul and the boys love to go to the World of Outlaws races, so we go each year on Father's day weekend. It was a lot of fun, I don't really understand the racing stuff, but I have fun just being with my "boys". Today, we headed for Fargo. Paul wanted to go to a Fargo Redhawks baseball game. It was a beautiful day for baseball and it was a fun game. They won YEAH!!!!!
We got home about 8:00pm and got all of our stuff put away. I started laundry and Paul is finishing putting stuff away upstairs. Did I mention that Paul is also very helpful. There are not too many men out there that help around the house. There isn't much he won't do. Ok, I know, stop bragging. Thanks for all you do for our family, you are the best husband and dad and we love you very much!

This and That!!!!!
I have to get a post done today! It has been a little over a month since I last did a post, where does the time go? The boys have already been out of school for a month and it has flown by. We have been very busy, but hopefully it is starting to slow down. Will and Jack both had basketball camp in May. Will had football camp in June. They loved both camps, but it really wore them out. Of course, the pool opened so we have to go there daily, well, when the sun is out. Charlie loves to go to the pool too. He loves the slide and he even goes off the diving board by himself. They definately did not get the love of water from me. If you know me, you know that I will go in water as long as I can touch. Don't even get me started on that whole thing.
We celebrated Jack's 10th birthday on May 31st. I can't believe he is "10" already, it really does seem like he should be a baby still. He is my little boy who is always smiling and loves to make me laugh. I love you very much my little Jack, hope you had an awesome birthday. We had supper out on the day of his birthday and he opened presents from us. He got a new bike, so he really loves that. It is a very nice bike. He asked me to get my tires aired up and we can go biking. I should probably do that now, so by the time summer is over I can ride across town. It would really be a good thing for all of us to do. Jack invited a friend to go to Bismarck for supper and a movie to celebrate his birthday. He picked "Space Aliens" for supper. It was very good. He didn't like the movies that were playing, so we went for a drive down by the river instead. It was amazing to see all the water. I feel so bad for all the people who have lost their homes. It is crazy how mother nature works, hard to understand. On the way home, Jack wanted a Dairy Queeen, we didn't have cake so we hit the DQ.....mmmmmm it was good! Jack and his friend wanted to get home so they could set up a farm and play.
The boys and I made a trip to Bemidji at the end of May. The boys love to go to my sister Tiffany's house. She lives on a lake and they can fish off the dock. They caught 15 fish. We had a great time with Max, Joey and Grandma. I can't believe how fast they have grown too. Max is 6 yrs and Joey is 4 yrs. Max and Jack play well and most of the time Charlie and Joey play well.
I have not been able to sneak in any scrapbooking since school got out. Summer is very hard to get that done. I usually do not have time to work on it, nor do I want to when it is nice out and we are busy.
We have not had a fire outside in our firepit yet either. When we think about it, it is usually too windy or rainy. Hopefully soon! It is so relaxing to sit outside in the evening and roast a hot dog and a smore'. I love to sit by the fire.
The boys are all in baseball and are lovin every minute of it. Charlie has t-ball in the morning, so we don't have any conflicts. Will and Jack have a lot of games at the same time, so Paul and I trade of who gets to travel. One of us is always at one of their games. It is so fun to watch them. They both play first base. Jack does some catching too sometimes. Come visit us at the diamonds in Linton, we are always there!
I guess I didn't have anything new to share, but wanted to say hi to everyone. I will keep you posted on our summer. Next week all of the boys are enrolled in swimming lessons. Minneapolis trip
Hello all
This is pretty sad, I promised I would write more often and it has already been over a month. Where does the time go? We had an awesome weekend in Minneapolis. We left Linton at 12:00pm Thursday and heading for the Twin cities. We were all so excited. It was kind of a rainy weekend, but we managed to find things to do. Thursday night we arrived at about 6:30pm, checked into our hotel, went to Green Mill for dinner and did a little swimming. The Green Mill is awesome! It took me about 15 minutes to decide what to order, everything looked so good. The boys had a great time swimming. It was very relaxing and quiet. Friday we went to the University of Minnesota for the Mortuary Science graduation. That was fun. we saw 2 instructors from when we attended 20 years ago. It really does not seem possible that Paul and I went to the "U" 20 years ago. I don't really feel any older. We saw my old boss, the one I had right out of college and the funeral director that I worked under when I was a night attendant at the funeral home. It brought back so many fun memories. College was so much fun and we did so many fun things. We had a very fun dinner at Bucca De Beppo. It is an Italian family style restaurant. The food was so good, everyone loved it and had a great time. Congrats Adam! It sure has been fun reliving our college days through you! We are very excited to have you come back to Linton to work with us. Friday night we all hung out by the pool and visited until after 1pm. The boys swam and we had a few drinks and a lot of laughs. Saturday we had planned to go to the Twins game, however it rained and rained and the high was only about 45'. we decided to go to the Mall of America instead. The boys went on rides at the Nickalodean theme park and we had fun people watching. There are some very strange people in this world. We ended up back at our hotel for dinner and more swimming. Sunday, we were headed back home, but not before a trip to the outlet mall in Albertville. I could spend a day there. They boys are starting to have their favorite stores too and love to shop. The boys all needed summer clothes so they got most of the shopping time. I did get a new purse and a pair of shoes. It was nice to get home, we were all tired. We had a great time. Paul talked about maybe going again sometime this summer to get a Twins game in, but who knows they may pay us to go if things don't imporve. They haven't been doing very well.
This is the last week of school, they boys are happy. They like school, but I think they are ready for a break. They will have a busy summer with basketball camp, football camp, swimming lessons and all 3 of them will play ball. Will in Babe Ruth baseball, Jack in pee-wee baseball and Charlie in T-ball. If you can't find us go to the diamonds and I am sure we will be there. Come say hi.
Will is also hoping to do some baby sitting, he is 13 now, so I feel more comfortable letting him babysit. He does watch his brothers and now wants to start a little bit for others. so, if you need a sitter give him call!
I better go for now, I would love to make a Bismarck trip today, but the day is almost 1/2 over and I am still typing on this computer. Bye for now, enjoy the sun!

Sickly Sannes'
hello all
Did I ever mention that I just hate it when my family is sick? I really despise it. It makes me very nervous. They will all testify that I am a nut job when it comes to sickness. I just want to make them feel better, but I irritate them in the process. Paul says I ask way to often if he is feeling better..... at least I ask, right?
A few weeks ago Charlie had the headache and fever crud. He looked so sad. He kept telling that his forehead hurt. He really had nothing else wrong, motrin would help, but when it was gone, he was miserable. He was sick for 3 days, but the 4th day, he was smiling and very hungry again. It was so nice to have my little Charlie back again.
A few weeks later, I picked up Will at school and I could tell right away that he was sick. He had a fever and a bad headache. His cheeks were bright red. We did take Will in to the doctor because he had a sore throat. Just to be safe. no strep throat, just a virus. He also had it for 3 days. He missed 2 days of school and the first day of girls state basketball. He wasn't too happy that he missed the game.
A few weeks later and poor Jack gets a horrible sore throat and headache along with a stomach ache. I knew he had strep, that is the symptoms he gets with strep. We head up to Bismarck early Sunday morning to check it out. When we got to Bismarck the clinic was FULL. It was awful. There was hardly a chair left. Jack had a fever of 103.6. Another "mother of the year award" for me. How does a child get that high of a fever. He was miserable. when his motrin finally started to work, he was much better. He got a postivie strep result and a negative influenza A result. Did I mention that he wasn't at all impressed with the swab shoved up into each nostril. Try that with a high fever. I also forgot to mention that Will and Charlie are very quiet when they are sick. they just lay around and wait for medicine. I didn't even hear from them, I had to go to them to gives drinks and medicine. well, not my little Jack, he really lets you know when he is sick. I know he was miserable, but it made me feel worse to listen to him moan and groan. Sometimes he would cry. I spent many hours rubbing his head. I loved being able to relax him and hold him, but he isn't a good patient. I love you Jack, but someday your poor wife will have her hands full when you get sick. Jack very rarely gets sick so that is good. Thank God, we don't have too many virus's through our house, but when we do look out!
I thought we were over it. Today Paul wakes up with a headache. not a real bad one, but enough to be irritating. He doesn't have a sore throat, just the headache. I think he is over tired, he has been going non stop for over a month. He is a good patient, but I drive him crazy. Some one told us today they also had a headache for 2 days, so it must be some bug going around. I hope these crazy bugs are out of our house now.
I better close for now, hopefully it will be a quiet weekend for us. nothing much planned. YEAH!!!!
well, we have wrestling for Jack in New Salem tomorrow morning. After that we are free...woo hoo.

Aprils Fools Day
Happy April Fools Day everyone. Is April fools a holiday? not really sure, but it seemded to be at our house this morning. Charlie was foolin' us all. Mom, you have a snake on your head, "april Fools" then he would laugh. He thought he was pretty funny. It is so fun to watch and listen to the mind of a 5 year old. Not a care in the world, just wanting to make us all laugh. It turned out to be a beautiful day today. The last time I looked it was 53' and it is sunny....YEAH finally some sunshine. We are already in a winter storm watch for sat pm into monday am. I do not think that is an April Fools joke, it is not funny. I heard this morning we could get 6 to 9 inches of wet snow by Monday. I do love winter, but the calendar says it is spring, so come on, lets have some spring.
It is hard to believe we are in the final countdown of the school year. One more quarter and school is out for summer. The boys are ready for baseball. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that today is the first day of baseball season. The Twins play tonight, I think 6pm. My boys would be so proud that I actually knew that. That definately means spirng is around the corner.
Jack, Charlie and I are going to Bismarck tonight to see the movie "Hop". They have seen the previews and want to see it so bad. Paul and Will said they would stay home and watch the Twins. I hope it is a good movie. I also hope I do not eat too much popcorn. movie popcorn is so good :) I am not a popcorn eater, but when you are at the movies it is so hard not to indulge. I think we will get a kiddie combo and then there wont be too much for me to eat.
I better get going and pick up Charlie from daycare so we can head to Bismarck. Should I tell him the movie "Hop" was cancelled? April fools!!!!!!!

Oh and by the way, Dorothy bought a new townhouse.....she doesn't sign until July 15, it is REALLY nice. So happy for her. She is doing good and really appreciates all your well wishes and prayers.

This and That
Hello all! It is a beautiful day here in Linton. It is 45' and sunny. Hopefully we will not have the strom that is being predicted for Sun, Mon and Tues. A lot of our snow is melting, our driveway is clear. I have Will home sick today. He has the nasty headache, fever and body aches. We took him to the Dr. yesterday and it is just a virus, has to run its course. He came home from school on Tuesday with a fever and headache. It usually runs about 3 days, so I am hoping tomorrow, he will be better. He is actually feeling better today, but I kept him home to rest just to be sure. Charlie had the same stuff 1 1/2 weeks ago. I suppose Jack will be next. So nice of them to share:)
We are planning on going to Bismarck tonight for the ND State Class B Girls Basketball game. The Linton Girls made it to state. It should be fun, I sure hope they do well. Woooohooo Linton Lady Lions!!!
Grandma Dorothy is doing well. Everything is falling into place for her. She has been looking at townhomes. She has really liked some of them. Paul is planning on going to Minot on Sat morning to finalize stuff with her current house. It has been a long haul, but everything is turning out ok for her. She seems to be in good spirits. She is just so lucky to have her family live close.
Jack had his first wrestling match on Tuesday night, he did very well. He had to wrestle some very tough kids. He took 3rd for the match. He was happy to get a medal. He has so much fun. He did say that when he is old enough, he is going to try play basketball and see if he likes that. He can't play basketball and wrestle. The season is the same time. We told him he has to decide. He will see which he likes the best. I really see him liking basketball better, but time will tell.
I have been doing some spring cleaning. Boy, is that a job and a very needed one. I could clean and clean forever. It is never ending. We are going to do some painting this spring too. I have been trying to decide on colors. we are also going to get a new bedroom set (comforter, valance and stuff). I can't wait to have it all done.
Well, not much new to report here. Just thought I would do a small post to say hi. I want to keep up and do posts more frequently. Hope you all have a Great St. Patty's Day........

Grandma's Fire
hello all
I am sorry it has been a little while since I posted last. We have been busy with work, the boys and had a small tragedy in the family. I do say small only because no one was hurt and all are ok. So, it was small compared to what it could have been. I am not going to go into a lot of details, because I am not sure I know exactly every part to the story, so I will just update you with the basics.
Last Friday, Paul and I received a phone call from Paul's sister, Loy. She was hysterical and screaming..."Zane burnt down mom's house and is on his way to the er" My stomach instatnly dropped, I was literally sick to my stomach. We were so scared for Zane, he just had to be ok. Loy had talked to him and thought he was ok, but was on her way to Minot. Paul decided to leave right away for Minot. He was pretty upset and scared. I couldn't imagine how his mom was going to take this news. I was not only worried for Zane, Dorothy, but also Paul. I felt bad for him having to drive alone when he was upset. I prayed and prayed that everyone would be ok.
I will give you a little bit of what happened. Sorry if I get something wrong, but I have heard the story from a few people. Zane lives with Grandma while he goes to college in Minot. Last Friday, he was going to make lunch for him and Zach. He put the oil on the stove to make french fries. Zach called and told him he couldn't make it. Zane decided to go in and lay down for awhile before Grandma came home for lunch. He had forgotten that he had the oil on the stove. Within 15 minutes he was awakened by the sound of the smoke alarm, which he orginially thought was his cell phone. Dorothy also says that it is very odd that the smoke alarm worked, she doesn't know when whe had it checked last. When he opened his bedroom door, the house was already full of smoke. There were flames in the kitchen. He immediately called 911, aunt Nancy, Zachery and his mom. He began to take things out of the house. First thing he grabbed was Grandma's dog "Cooper". He got all of the wedding pictures off the wall and things that were Great Grandma Lee's. He made several trips in the burning house to grab what ever he could. All this within 10 minutes!!! When the fire department arrived, they wouldn't allow him back inside. He didn't even want to go the hospital.
He was taken via ambulance to the hospital where he was met by most of the family. Everyone very happy to see him and most of all very relieved he was going to be ok. Zane had to stay overnight in the hospital because he has asthma and they wanted to be sure all the soot and smoke was out of his lungs. Dorothy said he was black from head to toe. The house was a total loss, she will not be able to move back in. Some of her things were able to be saved, but compared to what she had, it doesn't seem like much. I can't imagine what is must feel like to have EVERYTHING you own, you have worked hard for gone in the blink of an eye. She is just so relieved that Zane is ok, nothing else matters. She is very lucky to have almost all of her children living so close, she has somewhere to stay, food to eat and alot of support. Alot of people have been asking what she needs. Right now she really just needs your prayers. Things are already settling into place. She has had some laughs and a lot of tears. It has been a lot of work trying to itemize everything in the house. In the end, she will have a new house and lots of warmth just knowing all the people who helped out and were there for them.
Thank you God for keeping Zane and Dorothy safe. We know that it was you that sounded that smoke alarm and kept Zane from being hurt. In a scary and sad time like this, we take comfort in knowing that you will protect us from harm and you will bring good things out of bad times. Continue to watch over Dorothy and Zane as they grieve for their loss, but give them the peace of knowing that everything will be ok again. In your name we pray Amen!
I am sorry it has been a little while since I posted last. We have been busy with work, the boys and had a small tragedy in the family. I do say small only because no one was hurt and all are ok. So, it was small compared to what it could have been. I am not going to go into a lot of details, because I am not sure I know exactly every part to the story, so I will just update you with the basics.
Last Friday, Paul and I received a phone call from Paul's sister, Loy. She was hysterical and screaming..."Zane burnt down mom's house and is on his way to the er" My stomach instatnly dropped, I was literally sick to my stomach. We were so scared for Zane, he just had to be ok. Loy had talked to him and thought he was ok, but was on her way to Minot. Paul decided to leave right away for Minot. He was pretty upset and scared. I couldn't imagine how his mom was going to take this news. I was not only worried for Zane, Dorothy, but also Paul. I felt bad for him having to drive alone when he was upset. I prayed and prayed that everyone would be ok.
I will give you a little bit of what happened. Sorry if I get something wrong, but I have heard the story from a few people. Zane lives with Grandma while he goes to college in Minot. Last Friday, he was going to make lunch for him and Zach. He put the oil on the stove to make french fries. Zach called and told him he couldn't make it. Zane decided to go in and lay down for awhile before Grandma came home for lunch. He had forgotten that he had the oil on the stove. Within 15 minutes he was awakened by the sound of the smoke alarm, which he orginially thought was his cell phone. Dorothy also says that it is very odd that the smoke alarm worked, she doesn't know when whe had it checked last. When he opened his bedroom door, the house was already full of smoke. There were flames in the kitchen. He immediately called 911, aunt Nancy, Zachery and his mom. He began to take things out of the house. First thing he grabbed was Grandma's dog "Cooper". He got all of the wedding pictures off the wall and things that were Great Grandma Lee's. He made several trips in the burning house to grab what ever he could. All this within 10 minutes!!! When the fire department arrived, they wouldn't allow him back inside. He didn't even want to go the hospital.
He was taken via ambulance to the hospital where he was met by most of the family. Everyone very happy to see him and most of all very relieved he was going to be ok. Zane had to stay overnight in the hospital because he has asthma and they wanted to be sure all the soot and smoke was out of his lungs. Dorothy said he was black from head to toe. The house was a total loss, she will not be able to move back in. Some of her things were able to be saved, but compared to what she had, it doesn't seem like much. Jack had wanted a puppy for a long time. He always said he wanted a dog that would play ouside with him and follow him around the yard. Some friends of ours had puppies they were selling. I brought Jack up there to see the puppies and decide which one he wanted. He originally wanted a male, but little Maddy followed him around and she is the one that he picked. The first night we had her home, she cried ALL night. She was very lonely. She missed her mom and her sister. The next night we put her to sleep in Molly's kennel and she did much better. The next day, Paul, Jack and I went to Bismarck to get "stuff for Maddy. He was so excited. She loves toys, rawhide bones and Molly. Molly isn't too sure about Maddy, she let her know who was the boss right away!
Maddy has turned out to be a very swwet little girl. We all love her, she was trained pretty easy. It is funny to have such a big dog around. She doesn't realize how big she is aand tries to sit on our lap or sit in the smalled space. She loves Jack and we often find her sleeping on his bed. She is not allowed on any other bed in the house! She actually wasn't going to be allowed upstairs, but when I was home alone with her, I didn't trust her alone downstairs. I thought she might go potty or chew on something. she has been up stairs ever since.

I am back!!!!!
hello to all my blog friends! I am not sure how many of you are reading this since it has been a LONG time since I posted anything on here. I am back to blogging, hoping to blog frequently, notice I didn't give an exact #. I do not want to promise anything I can't fulfill. It has been almost a year since I last posted. I know most of you probably gave up on me. Let me tell you, We have been very busy, I know, I know, who isn't busy there days. We finally got our computer back from the dr. We had to have our motherboard replaced and a few other things which I really do not understand. Oh well, I know it works again. I had to reformat by blog, I had done something crazy and it looked weird. It took me 2 days, but I finally got it up and running. So, here I am today blogging to all of you.
I am not even going to try and fill you in on the past 9 months. Gosh, I could have had a baby! no that is not why I didn't blog, but it would make sense. We had a lot of fun, visited a lot of people, played a lot of sports, did a lot of homework, everyone in the family celebrated another birthday and we got a new puppy. That is just to name a few crazy things in our life. I will do a blog just for the new puppy. Our new puppy is still a puppy, but not the size of a puppy! More to come soon.

April is a busy month
WOW!!!!!!!!
what a busy month this has been already. We have had so many things going on and so many things still to happen. The first weekend in April we had a baby shower on Saturday afternoon, a dinner in the evening and Easter Sunday mass and Kynlee Plienis' baptism. Jack was asked to be Kynlee's godfather. He was so proud and so excited. The boys had so much fun on Saturday as we colored Easter eggs. They each had 18 eggs to do. Charlie had his finished in no time, so Will gave him some of his. I love to watch them color eggs. What an awesome tradition! They had fun with their Easter baskets and even had plastic eggs to find. The Easter bunny hid eggs around the family room. Then off to our church and then to the Methodist church for the baptism. What a beautiful day. The sun was out! Later in the day, we even cleaned out our garage. That was a project that was long overdue. What a gross job. Last weekend we had state wrestling in New Salem. Jack did awesome. He pinned 2 of his 3 matches and took 2nd. He was very proud to bring a home a trophy. Saturday night we went to the Martina McBride and Trace Atkins concert at the civic center with Cassie and Kameron. I wasn't to sure about Trace, but did recognize some of his songs. He sure has a deep voice. Martina was awesome, I have always loved her. She can sure sing. She is so tiny. She is older than I am and I know that I could not keep up with her. She is all over the place. We had a great time.
Sunday morning was our good friend Ryan Brown's first Holy Communion. We had mass at our old church in Bismarck and then to Sarah's for lunch. What a great day, he looked so cute all dressed up . Thanks for letting us share in such a special celebration with you.
Monday morning, Paul and I headed to Fargo for our annual Funeral Directors convention. It is always so nice to see everyone and learn new things. Paul was elected to the National Funeral Directors Policy Board again for another 3 years. YEAH! He really enjoys this position and has met so many wonderful people. We will enjoy 3 more years of traveling and attending funeal director functions. We got home on Wednesday and met Shannon, Sarah and their families and went to "walking with the Dinosaurs" What an incredible show. The dinosaurs were so life like and so loud. There were times that you jumped back in your seat. T-Rex was very big and had a very scary growl. If you get the chance to go, do so. It was a great show, everyone we were with had a great time and loved the show.
Today is it back to work. I am finishing up on things for a funeral tomorrow. I am going to go to Bismarck tomorrow and do a spring burial for Paul. This weekend we have lots of company coming for Jack's first Holy Communion. He is very excited. Once he does this then he can be a mass server. Keep Jack in your prayers as he is finally able to take part in the body and blood of Christ. We are so excited for him. God Bless you Jack!

Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday to my friend Sarah! I hope you have a great day! We have been friends since 9th grade. How crazy is that. I hope you liked your flower arrangement....ha ha. I have more presents for you when we get together. Hopefully we can get together soon for a birthday dinner.
Thanks for being such a good friend, we always have fun together and can make each other laugh. I am always impressed that we can communicate with each other without even saying a word, or we can change the subject quickly without missing a beat.

Refridgerator Saga!
I am happy to report that the refridgerator was able to be fixed. The repairman said it was the motherboard. He ordered the new motherboard and put it together last night. This morning everything was very cold! YEAH! One nice thing about this whole ordeal is that everything is very clean, it almost looks brand new.
I don't even want to fill it up again. I want to keep it looking new and clean. While I was out to dinner last night for a birthday party, Paul and Will put everything back in the fridge and a few things in the freezer. That was nice, since I had the pleasure of cleaning out the thawed mess. Thanks Guys!!!
I also want to wish my good friend Lori a very happy belated birthday. We finally celebrated with dinner last night. Lori's birthday was March 8. we were a little late, but had a great time. Lori, Cassie and I went to the Harvest for an awesome dinner. thanks girls for a fun evening. I hope you had a very happy birthday. Thanks for being such a great friend/sister. Everyone thinks we are sisters, sometimes we act like sisters too. I am glad I have such great friends. We always have so much fun together.
Tonight Will and I are attending "Safe Night". Safe night is a presentation put on by the Emmons County Interagency for grades 5th , 6th and 7th. We will have supper, divide into groups and sit in on several presentations, and last they have a dance for the kids. The presentations range anywhere from facebook/internet safety, the national guard is bringing down their helicopter, a drug dog, and lots of other interesting and fun topics. I am part of the interagency and because Will is attending, I decided to help out. We are excited to go and hope it is as fun as it sounds. Will wasn't too sure that he wanted to go, but I talked him into it. He isn't a big fan of large crowds. It is kids from Hazelton, Linton and Strasburg. I know he will have fun once he is there. Jack, of course, wanted to go too. He is game for anything. I told him, his turn will be coming.
I tried to sign Charlie up for preschool for the fall of 2010 and they are FULL! Yikes, It took me a little while to call, I am not sure I wanted him to go yet. He is my baby, you know. I am going to keep bugging them and hopefully someone will drop out. We are not sure yet if he will go to Kindergarten when he turns 5 or wait a year. So many descions. It just seems to get worse the older they get.

Mourning the loss of our dear refridgerator!
It is with great sadness that I report to you we lost a dear friend today. Our family friend of almost 6 years has died. We woke up this morning to find our freezer at a balmy 54'. Everything had melted! Most everything in the refridgerator part was ok. I guess it is a good way to get the freezer cleaned out. I have been hauling things out to our old fridge in the garage. What a mess. the repair man figures it has been out for 72 hours! How weird is that, well we were out of town on Monday am to Tuesday pm for continuing ed. We were not home to realize this. The repair man came over this morning and said it is the mother board. That sounds bad. He says he has to order a new one, not sure how much that will cost. I told him to check with Paul before he actually orders it. It may be cheaper to get a new fridge. It is amazing to me how much we take for granted. It is not easy to be without a fridge in your house! I didn't think an appliance like that would wear out so soon. We bought it when we moved into our house in July of 2004, that doesn't seem very old to me. I don't even think I can make dinner tonight. I am at a loss. How can we function? Maybe we will have to go out to eat tonight, good excuse anyway!
I will keep you posted on the repairs or if we have to get a new fridge. I am not liking this stuff. Oh, the woes of being a home owner.

mystery solved!!!!
Yeah!!!!! We, or should I say, Paul found charlie's DS. It was downstairs in Will's bedroom. Not sure how it got there, but one of the boys must have brought it home. I am just so thankful it is here and we didn't lose it. Good lesson for me. I need to be more careful. Once again, St. Anthony comes through. I always tell the boys to pray to St. Anthony when they lose something. Now, I can tell them that I also had to pray to him and we found the DS.

hello all Did you remember to set your clocks back 1 hour??
I am a little tired today. I don't like when we have to change the clocks ahead. It takes me a few days to get used to it, plus the fact that I was up two nights in a row until 2am. Yikes! Friday night I hosted scrapbooking and we scrapped until 2am. Saturday night we were subs for a pinochle group in Linton, we played until 2am. It was a lot of fun, but makes me very tired. Needless to say, I have very little energy today. Charlie and I are home today, I would love to take a nap, but how is that possible with a four year old running around? Guess I will have to get to bed earlier tonight.
It is a very dreary day outside, cloudy and overcast. We drove around last night
to check out the flood situation. The creek behind our house is very high and running over. It looks like we will have some flooding, but nothing like last year. People are filling sand bags and putting them around their houses. What a scary time for some people.
Friday night we had Jack's second wrestling match. It was in Linton. Jack took 3rd and got a medal. He was very excited. We all went to watch him. Loy and Steve came down to see him too, he was VERY excited to have them come to watch him wrestle. I do get a little nervous, I don't want him to get hurt. We brought Charlie's Nintendo DS, it really keeps him occupied while we watch Jack. Well, he was having a blast playing his DS with 2 other little girls. When he was done, he gave it back to me and I put it in the case. One of the little girls asked if she could play it and I gave it to her. When we got ready to leave, Paul took the boys to the pizza shop and I went scrapbooking. We are not sure where the DS went. This morning, I realized that I haven't seen it all weekend. We have the case, but it is empty. I called the school to see if anyone had turned it in, but the secretary didn't have anything! She was going to check with the wrestling coaches and the janitors and call me back. I would bet someone found it and took it. I don't want to sound negative, but where else could it be. I am thinking the little girl finished playing it and set it down and went on her merry way. I would hope if someone found it, they would turn it in. I have to believe that there are honest people out there. If my child brought home a toy, I would sure take it back. I weould think a parent would notice a new DS if their child had one. The bad thing is, this is the 2nd one we have lost. I did say a prayer to saint Anthony, I am waiting for him to come through. Saint Anthony is the patron Saint of lost items. if you pray to him, he will help you find your lost item. I am anxious for the boys to get home from school to ask them about it. One of them brought home the empty DS case, I just hope someone saw it and we will find it again. It could also be in the folded up in the bleachers, I just want to find it and get it back. It is too expensive to lose. I can't even blame Charlie, I gave it to the little girl. I should know better! Well, from now on, I will not share things like that with other kids.
Last night I made an awesome supper, mashed potaotes and gravy, corn, apples, cream dementhe cake and an awesome roast. I got the recipe from my mom, I have wanted to try it, so last night I finally did. It was very good. Here is the recipe if you want to try it. Please let me know what you think.....
Best Beef Roast
1 4lb roast without a bone
2 jars beef gravy
1 pkt onion soup mix
small bottle italian dressing
mix ingredients together and pour over roast. bake at 350 for 3 hours. Take roast out and slice. Place back in gravy and bake another hour. We loved it and had hardly any left. Yummy!!!!
It is almost lunch time, Paul will be home soon. What to make for lunch? I have such dilemas in my life.
I will keep you posted on the DS situation. Say a prayer to St. Anthony for me, it can't hurt.

mix ingredients together and pour over roast. bake at 350 for 3 hours. Take roast out and slice. Place back in gravy and bake another hour. We loved it and had hardly any left. Yummy!!!!
It is almost lunch time, Paul will be home soon. What to make for lunch? I have such dilemas in my life.

Fun with Grandma
hello all, I am way over due in posting a message. We have had a very busy past couple of weeks, but then again, when aren't we busy!
On Thursday, Charlie, Lori, Karady and I left for Bemidji to visit and bring my mom back to Linton for a visit. We stopped in Fargo on our way and had a great time. We had to make a stop at the Scrapnook. Imagine how we shopped with 2 small kids, it was interesting, but we did it.
We had fun in Bemidji. We stayed at My sister's house. I love seeing my niece and nephews. We didn't get to see Taylor very much, she is so busy. I think she gets taller each time I see her. It was great to see Max and Joey. I just love spending time with them and wished we lived closer. Charlie had a blast with his cousins. He and Joey usually get along, but this time, they did a little fighting. Charlie and Max left joey out. He was a little upset. It is so cute to watch them interact and listen to them talk.
We brought my mom abck with us on Saturday. I love having her here and having her spend time with the boys. I wish she could stay longer or even lived closer. We had a very relaxing visit. We had a yummy turkey dinner on Sunday. Went to Bismarck for supper on Monday and relaxed on Tuesday. Paul and I met my sister in Fargo on Wednesady and she brought my mom home. It seems like it went so fast. She will be back in April for Jack's first holy communion.
Today Cassie and Kameron welcomed little Kynlee Jacalyn Plienis. She weighed 7lbs 3 ozs. From the pictures, I think she looks like Kameron. We can't wait to meet her. Hopefully it will be soon! Jack is so proud, I called him at school today to tell him that she was born. He is going to be her godfather. He is soooooo excited and will do such a great job. Congratulations!!!!!!!
I better get to bed. It seems like I stay up too late and then I don't want to get up in the morning.

hello
It has been a very crazy week. I feel very stressed, not sure why, but very stressed. The week started kind of sad at our house. Will's favorite team "the Colts" didn't win the superbowl. Will was very disappointed, but by Monday morning he seemed better. We really thought they would win. We planned that Will would wear a different Colts shirt each day this week. I was also going to order him a Colts superbowl championship shirt. So much for those plans! Oh well, they did do better then our Vikings.
Charlie has had a very bad cough. Monday night he had a slight fever, and said his ears hurt, his throat hurt and his head hurt. Tuesday he and I went up to Bismarck to see the pediatrician. I (being the doctor that I am) was sure that he had strep. She said he had croup. I thought only babies got croup. She said he should have a humidifier and cough medicine. She also gave him a little steroid in some chocolate syrup to open him up. Craziest thing I have heard of. He still has the cough, but seems to be feeling better otherwise.
It seems like everyone in our hosue is a little crabby this week. I, being the most crabby! I am not sure why, I think some awful, ugly weather must be brewing in the future. I bought the boys donuts today as a peace offering since I was so crabby this morning. I just get very frustrated trying to get a child, who shall be nameless, to read and clean up after himself. It seems like I spend a good part of our evening argueing with him. He thinks I am very mean and I feel bad always being on his case. I just want him to learn to be respectful of my authority and listen to me! When will it sink in for him???? I am not giving up.
I did get an early Valentine's Day present. I should maybe say the only Valentine's day present. We are not going to exchange gifts between Paul and I. We do have gifts for the boys though. Anyway, on Tuesday night, Paul thought maybe Charlie should have some Gatorade for his "choke" as little Charlie calls it! Jack offered to go to the store and get him some. He came home with the gatorade and said, "mom, I got you a Valentine's Day gift. I turned around to see him carrying a long stemed rose. He had such a huge smile on his face. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I was so proud of him, that he would think of his mom. what a sweetheart, my little Jack. I love you little boo boo!
Well, for not having anything to say, I sure did ramble on. Paul is taking the boys to the rodeo on Friday night, so I am staying home to scrap book. I think I will scrap by myself. Our girls night is next Friday. I am on a roll. Last weekend I got 8 pages done Woo hoo. I have a lot to do, so I really need to catch up.

Happy Birthday Will
hello
We have another birthday in our house. Will is 12 years old! Wooohooo. I am so amazed at how fast they grow, it truly seems like yesterday we brought him home. I told him yesterday that I think that 12 years ago that day was the happiest day of my life. I am amazed at how much I can remember of his birth and how excited and happy we were. You have made us very happy and so proud to have you as our son. I was very excited to have all three of the boys, but Will was the first and that was so exciting you were the start of our awesome family.
We had a great day, Will had some friends over to stay over night on Friday night, they had a lot of fun! They had a fishing tournament on the Wii. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings (Will's Choice)tonight with the Browns for supper and then over to their house for a Dairy Queen Cake, it was awesome.
I want to wish Will a very happy birthday and thank him for being such a great kid. He is so responsible and helpful. He is always willing to help me out. He loves to watch Charlie and will do any chore I ask of him. thanks for being a big help to daddy and I. We hope you have a great birthday. We love you very much and we are so proud of you. mom and dad XXOO
