Happy Birthday Will

My little Will is 11 years old today. It seems like just yesterday he was born, we can still remember the details of his birth. Paul and I were telling about the 2 days in the hospital before he was born. There is definately something special about your first born child.

We had a great day. Will brought football shaped brownies to school for a birthday treat. He took some friends, Jadyn, Anthony, Jade, Ian, Ryan, Will and Jack to Bismarck for a Bismarck Bobcats hockey game. We had a pizza party, a visit by the mascot "Scratch" ice cream and of course we watched the hockey game. The Bobcats won 5 - 3 it was a fun game, the boys had a lot of fun. Some of them had never been to a hockey game.

Happy Birthday Will, we love you sweetie.

Charlie

hello
We finally had Charlie's 3 year well child check up today. Everything went well. Our pediatrician was very impressed with Charlie's vocabulary, she said he talks on a 5 year level. He is at 50% for height and weight.

32lbs
36 3/4 inches

I am always so relieved when we have a good check up. He does still have an ear infection, she put him on a stronger antibiotic and we need to have a re-check in 2 weeks.
Tonight we are going to the boys basketball game. The 5th and 6th grade are playing at 1/2 time, so Will is excited to play. It is fun to watch him. Tomorrow, Paul and I are going to Fargo to see uncle Harold. He is doing good, but did have to have his big toe amputated last week. He is recovering well.
We are loving the warm weather, but it looks like it won't last for long. More cold and snow coming our way!!!!! Thanks for checking in on us.

Happy Birthday Charlie

Happy 3rd birthday Charlie. I can't believe my baby is 3!!!! He is such a sweetie, but can also be a little monster. We had a small party for him today. Charlie wanted a Dora party. We had lots of snacks, cake and ice cream. He opened presents and had a great time. Mike, Kathy (his daycare mom), Jade, Anthony, Lori, Nolan, Karady, DeLons, Kristina, Mommy, daddy, Will and Jack were all here to celebrate. I always have mixed emotions on the boys birthdays. I am so excited to think they are growing and with each age, they are so fun. But, I do experience a little sadness too. My babies are growing too fast. It doesn't seem like Charlie should be 3. I love being able to chat with him and to watch his expressions. When he tells you something, his expressions are priceless. Sometimes I wish I could freeze time. I know I can't so I try to treasure each day and enjoy the time with my 3 boys..

snow, snow and more snow!!!!!!!

hello
it is snowing again today. The boys were out of school yesterday because of the weather and Will just called me a few minutes ago and informed me that school will be out today at 2:00pm. I can't believe how much snow we have. I love it!!!!
Charlie and I are watching "Calliou" and doing laundry. I am slowly getting my house back together from Christmas. Our tree is still up and decorated, I have NEVER had it up this long. I am ready to get it down and clean goo. My poor boys are excited to come home early and I want them to help me clean.
Please say a prayer for my uncle Harold, he is in Fargo in the Vetereans Hospital. He has very, very high blood sugar and is going to have his bog toe amputated. He will be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks. He didn't even know he had diabetes until he arrived at the hospital. He is very bored. I am hoping to go and see him next week, when the weather cooperated.

It wasn't a good week for me on my healthy eating, I gained a pound....not sure how that happened. I am really eating healthy and drinking lots of water. oh well, not giving up yet.

Firemans Ball

hello
We had such a good time last night. We REALLY need to have more date nights. Paul and I do not do enough alone. It seems like we do everything with the boys! I love that, but also love doing things and having a "Date" with Paul.
We had a great dinner, visited with friends, danced until my hips hurt. I was a little sore this morning, but it went away once I was up and moving around. We went to some friends house and had breakfast and didn't get home until 3:00am. I am so glad that it is only once a year. I can't stay up that late too often.

Today, the boys played outside (hockey) and cleaned the entryway for me. They are reading and doing homework. We are having a lazy supper tonight.....pancakes and sausage.....then it is off to bed early for all. We need to catch up.

We are in a winter storm warning for tonight and tomorrow. Charlie has his 3 year appt tomorrow, I will post an update on him to tomorrow.
thanks for checking in

TGIF

yeah it is finally Friday. We have had a busy week around our house which did not include putting away our Christmas decorations. Hopefully this weekend! We finished Will's totem pole for school. He had to make an animal out of coffee cans, one for each family member. It turned out very cute. Paul was an elephant, I was an orca whale, Will was an aligator, Jack was a lion and Charlie was a monkey. It is such a relief to be done. We have a hopefully quiet weekend planned. I am very crabby today, little things seemed to irritate me. I think I am tired too. I need to catch up on my sleep. I have been doing good on my healthy eating, but now need to get to the fitness center. It is so hard to think that it has to be like this for life. I have to eat healthy forever, not just until I reach my goal.
good night
